With this policy we wish to inform you, pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation no. 679/2016 concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data that all the information and data provided by you in completing the contact form published in the "Contact" section of the website will be processed in compliance with the aforementioned provisions and the confidentiality obligations that inspire the activity of Fuerteventura Ocean Academy.

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Code, we therefore provide you with the following information.

A. Purpose of the processing of personal data

The processing we intend to carry out has the exclusive purpose of handling any type of request received through the "Contact" section of the Website and providing the relative answers to the users; this activity will be carried out with the aid of electronic tools in compliance with the security measures necessary to ensure the protection of personal data.

B. Scope of communication and dissemination of data

The data will not be communicated externally and will be made available only to those appointed by the Data Controller and / or Managers (if appointed) for processing the requests received. In accordance with Article 13, we also inform you about the subjects or categories of subjects to whom personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them as authorized to process: secretarial staff, technical or commercial assistance staff , administration, competent personnel on the subject matter of communication, IT technicians who manage the Site.

C. Legal basis, provision of data and conservation

In all the cases illustrated in the previous paragraph A, the Data Controllers do not have the obligation to acquire the specific consent to the processing of the user's data since, in these cases, the legal basis of the treatment consists in the need to respond to specific requests concerned. The data will not be disseminated.

Where the interested party did not intend to give personal data anyway, based on the foregoing, the consequence would be that it is impossible to proceed with providing the information and answers requested through the Contact section of the Website.

The data will be kept only for the time limits necessary to find the requests and will be processed and stored in full compliance with the provisions on security measures.

E. Rights from the interested party

Pursuant to articles 13, paragraph 2, letters (b) and (d), 15, 18, 19 and 21 of the Regulations, the interested party is informed that, following the conditions:

  • has the right to request the Data Controller to access personal data, correct or cancel them or limit their processing or to oppose their processing, in the cases provided for by law and not to be subject to decisions automated and obtain, within the limits of the law, the portability of data.

  • has the right to lodge a complaint with the Guarantor for the protection of personal data, or to the competent authority that is that of the place of habitual residence or domicile of those who dispute a violation of their rights.

  • any corrections or cancellations or limitations on processing carried out at the request of the data subject - unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort - will be communicated by the Data Controller to each of the recipients to whom the personal data have been transmitted. The Data Controller may inform the recipient of these recipients if the data subject requests it. The exercise of rights is not subject to any form constraint and is free.

If the interested party submits the request by electronic means, and unless otherwise indicated by the interested party, the information is provided in a commonly used electronic format. The response will be given in accordance with Article 12, paragraph 3 of the Regulation "The data controller shall provide the data subject with regard to the action taken regarding a request pursuant to Articles 15 to 22 without undue delay and, in any case, at the latest within one month of receiving the request. This deadline may be extended by two months if necessary, taking into account the complexity and the number of requests. The data controller informs the interested party of this extension, and of the reasons for the delay, within one month of receiving the request. If the interested party submits the request by electronic means, the information is provided, where possible, by electronic means, unless otherwise indicated by the interested party ".​

F. Processing of personal data to countries outside the European Union

Pursuant to art. 13, paragraph 1, letter (f) of the Regulations, we inform you that the personnel will not be subject to any transfer outside the European Union.
